First Hewlett Packard DesignJet 5000 for ISNWorkum, October 8, 2000 For our action at the IAA in Frankfurt it is decided to use a DesignJet 5000 from HP. This made ISN the first end user in the field using this large format printer. The decision was based on its speed, combined with the delivered print quality. Six color cartridges with the size of a bottle of wine each take care for brilliant colors and uninterrupted activities at exhibitions. "Surprising speed combined with phenomenal quality" said Wiebe van der Worp. "HP is claiming a speed gain by a factor 2 to 3 compared to the previous CP series. When we consider initialization of a job the speed factor is by far more. A 100Mbit network connection combined with an internal hard disk, and standard sufficient internal RAM memory (128 MB) play a big role without doubt. By making the print file direct from CorelDraw and Photo Paint instead of "ripping" postscript files, we gain a substantial speed profit. Bitmaps of 200 MB and more are chewed away without any problem. We can give our clients beautiful prints with the finest details".
Mobile courthouse for Dutch Police (KLPD)Workum, October 2, 2000 We have been working on a concept for a mobile courthouse in August for the logistic division of the Dutch Police. A vehicle lay out has been made in close cooperation with our client. Details can't be published unfortunately, but the concept is the base for a big European purchase.
ISN shifts accents towards moving picturesWorkum, June 2, 2000 Developments in the IT sector caused an internal evaluation in which some kernel tasks have been discussed. Our added value always have been applying state of art visualization techniques. A solid base is formed by broad knowledge and a practical approach. We always had a strong affinity with moving pictures. We made reconstructions of heavy traffic accident on video, and morphings for theatre performances.
Paper will not disappear, but it is clear a lot of information will be published more and more on CD-ROM, etc. with video fragments and animations. The decision to focus more on this field is caused by the following developments:

The coming months our video editing equipment will be expanded from the now used VHS and S-VHS (studio quality) standard to the DV standard based on Matrox GT2000 and very fast Atlas drives and stripe sets.

ISN at IAA 2000 Frankfurt and RAI 2002 for CitroënWorkum, may 24, 2000 Citroën Deutschland AG just ordered ISN to perform at the Internationale Automobiel Ausstellung (IAA) in Frankfurt. This famous international exhibition can be compared to the AutoRAI in the Netherlands. ISN is doing graphical activities at the RAI for Citroën Nederland since 1994.
Techniques used are scanning and digital photography, if necessary combined with CAD. Used hardware will be custom build very fast dual processor systems. A Hewlett Packard DesignJet is available for large format prints, and digital cameras will be used for high resolution pictures. The software, in particular CorelDraw is offered by Corel Corp, and runs under. ISN probably gets its own stand at the IAA under the trademark of Citroën Germany. Citroën Netherlands made a letter of intention right after the RAI to cooperate with ISN at the RAI in 2002. ISN ill be supported by Corel Corp., Olympus en Hewlett Packard.
Our presence at the IAA is a crown on our work, and a confirmation of the fact that we are unique where it concerns combining graphical designing, CAD and new information technologies.
