Utilities for cooperating with ISN...
Communicating with ISN means you should have some standard utilities installed on your computer. We often use file types not standard supported by your operating system.
FTP accessTo handle large files FTP is the solution. Normally you can use your browser to go to ftp://isnhome.net/ and get what you need. If you want to upload data to our server, we can grant you access to do so. It can be done the hard way by using FTP from the command prompt, or you can use programs like cute ftp (free) or ws_ftp (low cost, but good program). The passwords we supply are often temporary for the endurance of a project. Portable document format is the standard for document distribution (manuals,
leaflets, etc.). To view PDF files you need
Acrobat reader from Adobe. You can download a version without costs at the
following link: PDF files are used all over the world. If you want to make PDF files yourself you can do this from within CorelDraw, or in almost every application by using Acrobat (the writer version, not for free). DWFDrawing Web File is a standard format from Autodesk. It gives people without AutoCAD
the possibility to view, measure and print CAD drawings. Needed is a browser plug in
named Whip!. The plug can be used without costs, and can be installed by
following this link: With this viewer you can open DWF drawings straight forward. WRLWorld files contain VRML code. VRML stands for Virtual Reality Markup
Language. These are files containing 3D models and movements. There are a lot of
plug ins for browsers. However our advice is not to use Microsoft's standard
VRML plug in due to limited functionality. An alternative is for example Cosmo player from Computer Associates Int. The plug in is for free and can be
installed by following link:
